Manupackaging Hungary also participated in the
in the 2025 Lake Tisza litter picking campaign
For Manupackaging Hungary, sustainability is not only a business goal, but also a shared social responsibility. That’s why we were delighted to join this year’s
“SOS Tisza Lake ” clean-up, which set a new record for environmentally conscious initiatives.
10.5 tonnes of rubbish in three days – an unprecedented effort for nature
From 4-6 April 2025, nearly
400 volunteers took part in the clean-up, including employees from
27 national companies, including our own colleagues. The participants cleaned up the reed beds of Lake Tisza and the difficult-to-access, one-and-a-half-kilometre-long “Garbage Island”, even in extreme weather conditions.
The corporate world moved, with visible results
A record total of
10.5 tonnes of waste was collected:
- 5,780 kg of municipal waste
- 1,500 kg of PET bottles
- 960 kg of glass
- 800 kg of hazardous waste
- 600 kg of scrap metal and other scrap metal
By removing this waste, not only has the environment become a better place for aquatic life to live, but the future for all of us together has also been made one step cleaner.
Why is this important to us?
Manupackaging Hungary is committed to operating in an environmentally responsible way, both in production and in its social role. We are proud that our employees have actively contributed to this outstanding initiative.
