Manupackaging Hungary took part in the 2025 Lake Tisza Cleanup Campaign
For Manupackaging Hungary, sustainability is not just a business objective, but a shared social responsibility. That is why we were proud to join this year’s large-scale cleanup event called “SOS Lake Tisza,” which set a new record among environmentally conscious initiatives.

10.5 tons of waste in three days – unprecedented unity for nature
Between April 4–6, 2025, nearly 400 volunteers participated in the cleanup effort, including employees from 27 Hungarian companies – among them our own colleagues. The participants cleaned the reed beds of Lake Tisza and the difficult-to-access 1.5-kilometer-long “Trash Island,” even under extreme weather conditions.
The corporate world took action – and It made a visible impact
A record-breaking total of 10.5 tons of waste was collected, including:
- 5,780 kg of municipal waste
- 1,500 kg of PET bottles
- 960 kg of glass
- 800 kg of hazardous waste
- 600 kg of scrap and other metal waste
By removing this waste, the environment became not only more livable for aquatic wildlife, but our shared future also took one step toward becoming cleaner.
Why does this matter to Us?
Manupackaging Hungary is committed to environmentally conscious operations – both in production and in its role in society. We are proud that our colleagues actively contributed to this outstanding initiative.
